My Work as Producer
A lively mix of client production and narrative work
Larger Than Life
Each semester, the OU College of Fine Arts partners with Gaylord Hall Productions to create profile, feature, and promotional content. For this project, we focused on costume design for an upcoming opera, highlighting the creative process behind bringing a production to life.
Through interviews with a professor, an actress, and two costume designers, we told the story of how each element comes together for the stage.
Awards:
BEA award of excellence, Heartland Emmy, Telly Gold, OBEA 2nd place
Abington Park

Eldest Daughter Support Group
Roles: Producer, director, writer, director of photography, editor
Created for my advanced single-camera production class, I had the opportunity to write and direct my first-ever narrative film! I wanted to create an emotional, honest, heartfelt, witty flick that spoke to every child everywhere. This was a fantastic learning experience for me.
Media Business
II have owned and operated my media business, KateNCreatives, for over two years, serving more than 20 clients across diverse projects. Notably, I have worked with Lone Star Bleeding Disorders as both an event videographer and live-stream technician, delivering high-quality video production and seamless live-stream experiences.
Gaylord Hall Productions partnered with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to produce a video series titled Engineering with Nature, showcasing nature-based solutions to human-made challenges. This summer, I planned and led a week-long production trip to Stone Harbor, NJ, and Philadelphia, PA, where I interviewed engineers and explored these innovative approaches firsthand. Abington Park in Philadelphia provided a standout example of a project designed to benefit both the environment and the local community.
In another collaboration with the OU College of Fine Arts, this piece highlights Sophia Smith, a dance pedagogy major who came to OU with a passion for choreography. Through the university’s resources and a partnership with a local choir, she was able to create and stage a choreographed choral work, bringing her vision to life.

Hannah Allam: Torch Bearer
Each semester, Gaylord College selects three alumni who have made a significant impact through their careers or legacy as Distinguished Alumni honorees. Each recipient is featured in a short documentary-style profile.
This year, I had the opportunity to plan and lead a production trip to Washington, D.C., where I spent a weekend with investigative political journalist Hannah Allam. I served as the producer and director of this video.
Jason Bodin: Marketing MVP
In another video for Gaylord’s Distinguished Alumni campaign, Jason welcomed us to the Paycom Center arena, where the Oklahoma City Thunder call home. I conducted an in-depth interview with him about his career, his motivations as a leader and a father, and crafted a video that told his story—a journey defined by determination and joy.
